Terms of Use
Last updated 24 August 2026
vcloud (“vcloud.tech”, “we”, “us”) is a service operated by Numinous Technology that provisions and hosts cloud development machines (“devboxes”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Accounts
- You sign in with an email address and are responsible for keeping access to it secure.
- You must be able to form a binding contract and be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account and on your devboxes.
2. The service
- Devboxes are on-demand, non-preemptible cloud machines. We do not reclaim a running box; you control when it starts and stops, and idle boxes are stopped automatically to save you money.
- We may change, add, or remove machine sizes, regions, features, and limits over time.
- We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may perform maintenance that briefly affects access.
3. Prepaid credits and billing
- vcloud is prepaid. You buy credits, and your devboxes draw them down as they run, at the rates shown when you create a box.
- Credits expire 12 months after purchase. Unused credit is forfeit after that date.
- Credits are not currency, carry no cash value, and are non-transferable.
- A new team may receive a limited free trial window for its first devbox. When credit runs out, running devboxes are paused (stopped); your data on their disks is retained and resumes when you add credit.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
- Except where required by law, credit purchases are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us.
- Prices may change with notice; changes do not affect credit already purchased.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- break the law, infringe others’ rights, or violate the acceptable-use policies of our infrastructure providers;
- send spam, host malware, mine cryptocurrency, run denial-of-service attacks, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system;
- interfere with the service, other customers’ boxes, or our infrastructure, or attempt to circumvent billing, credit, or security controls;
- resell or share access in a way that disguises separate users as one account to avoid charges.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, or where required to protect the service or other customers.
5. Your content
- You keep all rights to the code and data you put on your devboxes. We claim no ownership of it.
- You grant us the limited right to store and process it only as needed to run the service.
- You are responsible for your own backups. Deleting a devbox, or letting it be removed, destroys its disk. This cannot be undone.
6. Third parties
Devboxes run on Amazon Web Services, payments run through Stripe, and coding tools you sign into (such as Claude Code, Codex, opencode, or Gemini) are governed by their own terms. Your use of those tools is between you and their providers.
7. Termination
- You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from the Account page. Deleting your account terminates your devboxes and destroys their disks.
- We may suspend or terminate the service, or your account, for violation of these Terms or to comply with the law.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount of credit you purchased in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by the date above, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
